Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

• Account data: email, display name, username, password (stored hashed), profile photo, bio.
• Identity verification data: for creators, a government ID and live selfie are collected and verified by our processor, Stripe Identity — Funvertex itself never receives or stores the raw document.
• Payment data: processed by Stripe; Funvertex stores transaction records (amount, type, timestamp) but never full card numbers.
• Content: posts, messages, and media you upload.
• Usage data: device/browser information, IP address, pages visited, and actions taken (e.g. follows, subscriptions, reports, blocks), collected automatically.
• Communications: messages between users, and support requests you submit.

2. How We Use Information

• To operate core features: accounts, payments, messaging, content delivery, and the paywall.
• To verify creator identity and age before enabling payouts, via Stripe Identity.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
• To respond to support requests and legal obligations (e.g. DMCA notices, law-enforcement requests).
• To send account-related and, where you've opted in, marketing communications.

3. Sharing of Information

We share data only where necessary to operate the Platform:

• Stripe — for payment processing, payouts, and identity verification.
• Other users — your public profile, posts, and (for creators) subscriber-visible content are shown to the audience you choose; blocked users cannot see your profile or content.
• Law enforcement — where required by valid legal process, or to protect the safety of our users.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in (an httpOnly refresh token) and to remember basic preferences (such as sidebar collapse state). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with financial record-keeping obligations. Uploaded content is deleted from our storage when you delete the corresponding post, message, or your account, subject to a short grace period for backups.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time. You can update most of your data directly in Settings, or request account deletion via the Support Center.

7. Children's Privacy

The Platform is strictly for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn an account belongs to a minor, we will terminate it and delete associated data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email.
